Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Junior Research Fellow in a DBT funded research project entitled "Study of progesterone receptor foci and progesterone signaling in breast cancer cells" in the laboratory of Dr. Sreeja S at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must have good academic record with first class Master's Degree in Life Science/ Biotechnology.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidates who have qualified in GATE/ National Eligibility Test (NET) such as CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR etc. will be preferred.
- The candidate with a minimum of 5- 6 months hands on experience on progesterone signaling in breast cancer are preferred.
AGE
Below 28 years as on October 25, 2019. Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.
EMOLUMENTS
₹ 31,000 + 16% HRA per month for M.Sc. Degree holders who have qualified at NET/GATE (with valid certificate). Candidates who do not have NET/GATE certification will be eligible for ₹ 12,000/- + 20% HRA per month.
DURATION
Three years or till termination of the project whichever is earlier.
SELECTION PROCESS
Suitably qualified candidates may send applications in the prescribed format with a photograph, a copy of full resume indicating the percentage of Marks obtained and attested photocopies of credentials & experience to reach the undersigned on or before October 25, 2019. Envelopes must be superscripted with abbreviated title of the project, advertisement number and job title. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project. Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply and will be called for interview. In the event of more than 10 candidates being short-listed by screening the applications, a written test will be conducted before the selection interview and only those who are successful in the written test will be interviewed.
No TA/DA/Other emoluments will be given for appearing in the written test/interview.
