My Areas of interest include Computational Biology and web development. I am Involved in programming tasks required for bioinformatics and development of web applications using java and php technologies. I am currently working on developing a Human papillomavirus (HPV) centric, web-accessible database holding curated, sequence/variant data with annotations. The technical environments I use include JAVA (JDK 1.5), J2EE 1.4, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, PHP and MySQL. |

The main area of my interest is web based application development. Much of our work involves compilation of biological information, providing a web-based interface for easy and open access of large scale biological data. I am currently working on development of Complete Oral cancer resource database (OrCa-dB). The environments I use include Codeignitor framework and Dreamweaver IDE with PHP,MySQL, HTML,CSS, JQuery, JavaScript,Ajax & Photoshop. Other projects completed: HeNeCan miRs, TarMir 1.0, IntmiR. |

I am working on a project called "Identification and analysis of statistically overrepresented sequence motifs in Saccharomyces cerevisiae uncovers novel regulatory elements". My role is to develop programs to help in the analysis of genomes. We use the Perl language to develop such programs. I am also involved in a database project called Mir-Age, a database of miRNAs in age and age-related diseases including cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. For this we use PHP as the front end while MYSQL is used as the back end.The other environments used include Perl, Python, PHP, MYSQL, Javascript and Jquery. |
